What does it mean when my order is locked?
When an order is locked, your survey is finalized and your pledge contents are confirmed. Any outstanding balance is charged, and the order can no longer be changed through the survey.
We will lock completed orders in batches. The first batch will be locked on March 9, and after that, completed orders will be locked every Monday.
We are locking orders beginning March 9 in preparation for digital fulfillment, as PDFs will begin releasing in March. Locking orders ensures that access to digital rewards is granted fairly and that pledge contents are finalized before delivery.
Once an order is locked and payment has been processed, eligible backers will receive access to available digital rewards. Changes after an order is locked must be handled by the project support team and may not always be possible.
Shipping and taxes for physical rewards will be charged later once rates are finalized.

What happens if I downgrade my pledge?
Backers are welcome to adjust their pledge level. If a pledge is voluntarily downgraded, we are unable to offer refunds. Any remaining balance will be retained as store credit and may be applied to add ons or other items available within the project. Store credit cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash.

Can I change or upgrade my pledge later?
Yes! You can freely adjust or upgrade your pledge during the campaign. After the campaign ends, you’ll also be able to upgrade or add items through our pledge manager before shipping begins

Does the promotional video use AI?
The promotional video includes limited motion effects created using AI-assisted animation tools. These were applied to existing commissioned artwork to create cinematic motion. No AI-generated images were used in the books or products.

How does the Pledge Over Time feature work?
Kickstarter’s new Pledge Over Time feature lets you split your pledge into three equal payments.
To use it, simply select any tier priced at $125 or more, then choose “Pledge Over Time” before checkout. Your pledge will automatically be divided into three payments over the course of the campaign.

How will you know I qualify as a Legacy Backer credit?
We’ll be cross-checking backers from the original 2019 Odyssey of the Dragonlords campaign using Kickstarter’s backer reports. If you backed a tier that included at least one physical book in 2019 and you back a physical book tier again in this campaign, you’ll automatically qualify as a Legacy Backer.
To make sure we can verify you:
•If you use the same email address as in 2019, we’ll recognize your pledge automatically. •If you use a different email address this time, you’ll be able to provide the old email in the pledge manager survey so we can confirm your Legacy Backer status.

Will post-BoM content be updated or expanded in the new edition? What changes can we expect beyond mechanics and art?
There is targeted content that has been greatly expanded, with the New Pantheon, the Sunken Kingdom and the Apokalypsis being the biggest recipients. For example, the Empyrean Palace has been expanded to be an entire dungeon with a beautiful two page map by the cartographer, John Stevenson.

Will the Battle of Mytros chapter and other level 15–20 content be included in the remaster, or was it left out of previews to avoid spoilers?
The Battle of Mytros chapter is still part of the book, as is the New Pantheon, the Sunken Kingdom and the Apokalypsis.

That’s something we have considered, but it’s likely outside the scope of the Kickstarter. We’d have to get permission from the appropriate companies/creators (Paizo, Aaron Vanek, etc).

Is Reavers of Oath and Ruin related to Raiders of the Serpent Sea in some fashion?
Reavers of Oath and Ruin takes place in the same world as Raiders of the Serpent Sea – the world of Grimnir. It can be played as a standalone, as a lead into Odyssey of the Dragonlords (instead of the Great Labors) or as a lead into Raiders.

Will the remaster improve the book’s organization, so character and story details aren’t split across multiple sections?
There has been reformatting to the books, the largest being that we split the book into two separate books (The Great Labors and Odyssey of the Dragonlords). We’ve made other changes such as moving most of the DM information for the Epic Paths into the text of the adventure so that a DM doesn’t forget about it.

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
