Progress Update: Reavers Design, Editing, and Rules Review
4 months ago
– Mon, Apr 13, 2026 at 08:43:30 AM
Hi everyone,
We wanted to share a quick update on the current progress across the project.
Michal Cross is actively working on the graphic design for Reavers of Oath and Ruin, bringing the book closer to its final visual form. At the same time, Pedro Ferreira is conducting a thorough editing pass on both The Great Labors and Odyssey of the Dragonlords. Alex Hansen is performing a detailed rules review, carefully examining the subclasses and species to ensure balance and smooth gameplay.
On my end, I’m continuing to address community feedback, with particular attention on refining the final confrontation with Sydon. I’m also expanding and better integrating Lutheria and Sydon’s children into the narrative. In addition, I’ve been working closely with Pedro to identify and prioritize other key areas of feedback from the community.
We’re making steady progress across all fronts, and we appreciate your continued support as we push toward completion.

March Progress Update: Reavers of Oath and Ruin & Heroes Handbook
5 months ago
– Mon, Mar 30, 2026 at 09:59:41 AM
Hi All,
We wanted to share a quick update on our March releases and overall progress.
The first draft PDFs of Odyssey of the Dragonlords and The Great Labors have been delivered. Thank you for the incredible feedback so far, it has been invaluable. We are now reviewing both books and incorporating feedback as part of a final polish pass before print to ensure the highest quality.
For upcoming releases, Reavers of Oath and Ruin and the Heroes Handbook are in their final stages. Our current focus is on layout and polish to bring them up to the same standard.
As a result, these PDFs will not release in March as originally planned. We now expect them in April.
We also know many of you are eager for news about Roll20. Development is already underway, and we will share a more detailed timeline after the release of the Reavers and Heroes Handbook PDFs.
We know many of you are excited to dive in, and we truly appreciate your patience. Our goal is to release each book as soon as it is ready.
If you haven’t pledged yet, there’s still time to join here and access the digital content as it’s released.
We’ll continue to share updates as we make progress. Thank you again for your support.

Hi everyone,
We’ve just released Version 2 of The Great Labors PDF. This update addresses all the specific feedback we’ve received as of this morning. You’ll also find an updated Change List included, detailing exactly what’s been revised.
I also want to reiterate that The Great Labors and Odyssey of the Dragonlords are still in the editing process. As mentioned in our initial release, the final polishing pass is still underway. In addition to our copy editor, we’ve had one of the Odyssey Discord moderators, Pedro Lopes de Carvalho Ferreira, doing a dedicated pass on both books.
We appreciate all of your feedback. There is still plenty of time for specific feedback to be reviewed and addressed, so please keep it coming
here.

Follow-Up on Feedback and Next Steps
– Sun, Mar 22, 2026 at 12:58:37 PM
Hi everyone,
I want to follow up on my previous update and address a concern I’ve seen raised in several messages.
I understand that some of you feel your feedback has been ignored, and I want to speak to that directly.
I’ve read all of the feedback we’ve received. In many cases, the feedback is conflicting, which means not every suggestion can be implemented. Other requests would require a significant amount of additional work, and at some point we had to draw a line to ensure the project could be completed and delivered.
That said, your feedback has not been dismissed. It has informed many of the decisions we’ve made, even if the results don’t always align with every individual request.
Now that I have more time, I’m happy to engage more directly and provide context for specific decisions. If you have questions or want to better understand the reasoning behind something, please feel free to fill out the form here.
Thank you again for your continued support.

Secrets and Myths Clarification + Upcoming Revisions
5 months ago
– Sun, Mar 22, 2026 at 08:15:38 AM
Hi,
I’ve seen several messages calling out changes to the Secrets and Myths section, so I want to provide some context.
When I started work on the Remaster, my original plan was to make deeper revisions to existing content. Very early on, I realized that approach was risky. It would likely introduce mistakes and, more importantly, change elements that people already loved.
So I made a conscious decision to shift direction: focus on adding new material and fixing clear issues, while avoiding changes to lore. The goal was simple: do no damage.
Unfortunately, the changes to Secrets and Myths were among the earliest made, before I fully committed to that approach. No editing pass would have caught them, because I was the only one who would have known that the changes were a problem. And to be completely honest, I had forgotten I made those changes, since they run counter to the approach I adopted afterward.
That’s on me.
I appreciate everyone calling it out.
I’ll be reverting this section back to the original version. We’ll release an updated PDF, and all printed copies will include these reversions as well.
