Physical Samples Have Arrived!
2 days ago – Tue, Aug 18, 2026 at 01:17:17 PM

Hey everyone!

We’re happy to share that we have finally received our physical production samples!

It’s incredibly exciting to finally see the books, maps, GM screen, and other components in physical form after so much work. Here is the photo of the physical samples, and you can also watch our video showing each sample in more detail.

Getting to this stage has taken longer than we originally expected, and unfortunately, our original estimated August delivery is no longer possible. Based on the current production and fulfillment timeline, we are now looking at an estimated delivery around December 2026.

We know this is a significant delay, and we are very sorry. December is our current estimate rather than a guaranteed delivery date, and we will continue doing everything we reasonably can to move production and fulfillment forward as quickly as possible without compromising the quality of the final products.

Over the next several days, we’ll be reviewing all of the physical samples in detail to make sure there is nothing else that needs to be corrected before mass production begins.

The Slipcase

The slipcase has been the most challenging component during sampling. After several adjustments, we received a blank slipcase sample that finally fit correctly. However, when the fully finished physical sample was produced using those same specifications, the fit was no longer quite right.

Rather than make another adjustment based solely on samples, we’ve decided with the manufacturer to take the safest approach: the books will be produced first, and once the finished production copies are complete, they will be measured and the slipcases will be manufactured specifically to fit them.

This should eliminate the risk of producing a large quantity of slipcases that are either too tight or too loose.

Importantly, this means the slipcase does not need to hold up book production.

Once we finish reviewing the physical samples and approve any remaining corrections, we are currently targeting the first week of September to begin mass production.

Our manufacturer currently estimates approximately 54 days from the start of mass production through completion and assembly. This estimate already includes some buffer time in the production schedule.

We know everyone is eager to receive their books, and we are too. We don’t want to rush through this final approval stage after coming this far, especially when catching a small issue now can prevent a much larger problem once thousands of copies are produced.

Thank you again for your patience and support. We’re excited to finally be able to show you the physical samples, and we’ll keep you updated as we complete our review and move into mass production!

If you haven’t joined us yet, there is still time to make a late pledge and reserve your physical rewards here.

Already backed digitally but now want the physical edition? We’ve received several upgrade requests after sharing the physical samples, and we’d be very happy to help. Just contact us at [email protected] and we can assist with upgrading your pledge. Any amount you’ve already paid will be applied toward the upgraded pledge.

If you’re looking for digital editions only, you can now purchase them directly through our new Arcanum Worlds website.

Roll20 Sneak Peek + Production Progress Update
about 1 month ago – Wed, Jul 15, 2026 at 06:53:21 AM

Hi everyone,

We wanted to share a quick update on the Roll20 versions of our Odyssey of the Dragonlords titles, along with a sneak peek at our Roll20 development progress.

The Great Labors is now very close on the module side. The map pages, dynamic lighting, SRD sheets, module text, and most journal hyperlinks have been completed. The remaining work is focused on setting up the monster sheets, placing linked monster tokens, and finishing the monster hyperlinks once the monster data is available through Roll20’s compendium workflow.

Reavers of Oath and Ruin is close behind. The text has been fully imported and formatted, and the maps have been prepared for Roll20. The remaining work includes uploading the maps, adding dynamic lighting, finishing hyperlinks, setting up monster sheets, and placing linked monster tokens.

After that, work will move fully into the main Odyssey of the Dragonlords module.

On the compendium side, the remaining 2024 player-facing content, including backgrounds, species, subclasses, feats, spells, and similar options, is still waiting on Roll20’s internal 2024 sheet and data uplift process. This is not specific to Arcanum Worlds and affects third-party 2024 content more broadly.

Our structured data has already been reviewed and approved, and Roll20’s current estimate is that the remaining uplift work will happen after Gen Con, with a possible September to October completion window. We are staying in close communication with Roll20 and will continue working with them to move things forward as quickly as their process allows. We will share more as soon as we have a confirmed timeline.

For the free digital token pack, which is separate from the Roll20 modules, our current estimate is that it will be fulfilled within the next two weeks.

On the physical fulfillment side, we have also been working through the final production details with our printer. One important item was the slipcase design. Because the books are large and substantial, we wanted to make sure the slipcase would be sturdy while still allowing the books to be removed easily. We have now adjusted the design to address this and are moving forward into sample production.

Thank you for your patience. The Roll20 modules and physical production are both moving forward steadily, and we are excited to get them into your hands.

Production and Roll20 Update
about 2 months ago – Mon, Jun 22, 2026 at 05:53:15 AM

Hello everyone!

Since our last update, we've released all of the final PDFs and shifted our focus to physical production and Roll20 implementation.

Physical Production

We are currently preparing for the next stage of production: the final physical samples, which will be reviewed and approved before mass production begins.

Once we receive the samples, we'll share photos so that everyone can see how the finished books, slipcases, and accessories are coming together.

Roll20 & Digital Tokens Progress

We've reached a major milestone on the Roll20 implementation. The structured data that powers character sheet automation has now been completed and submitted to the Roll20 team for review.

Once approved, Roll20 will integrate the data into their backend systems, allowing us to begin full testing of the compendium and character sheet automation. This has been the most complex and time-consuming portion of the Roll20 conversion, so completing this stage is a significant step forward.

After testing is complete, the remaining work involves importing adventure content, formatting the modules, and integrating artwork. This phase moves much more quickly, and we expect to begin sharing screenshots of the Roll20 implementation soon.

Work on the digital token packs is also ongoing. We know many backers are looking forward to these, and we'll share previews as soon as they're ready.

Our current goal is to have the Roll20 content completed by early July.

Thank you all for your continued support and patience. We're looking forward to showing off the physical samples and Roll20 previews very soon!

Near-Final PDFs Released
3 months ago – Fri, May 15, 2026 at 08:23:12 AM

Hi all,

Thank you for your patience.

Today we are releasing the PDFs for The Great Labors, Odyssey of the Dragonlords, Reavers of Oath and Ruin, and the Heroes Handbook.

These are what we consider the near-final versions of the books, with one small exception: the Heroes Handbook still contains six minor errors (listed below) that were already corrected in The Great Labors but have not yet been updated here.

There have been typo fixes and balance updates throughout both The Great Labors and Odyssey of the Dragonlords. Because many of the adjustments are extremely minor, we will only be listing the most significant changes in the included change list Word document.

We are currently planning to send the files to the printer next week, so there are still a few days left for final minor adjustments. If you notice any issues, please let us know in the comments section.

We’ll also be following up soon with the labeled digital maps and the 18+ PDF versions.

Final Stretch for Digital Rewards
4 months ago – Thu, Apr 30, 2026 at 12:28:22 PM

Hi all,
Thank you for your patience.
We’re getting very close to the finish line, and I wanted to share a quick progress update.
The graphic design work on Reavers of Oath and Ruin is now complete, and the book is currently going through its final editing pass. It’s looking fantastic, and we’re excited to get it into your hands soon.
Meanwhile, Pedro has transitioned from editing The Great Labors and is now focused on Odyssey of the Dragonlords. The Heroes Handbook is next for Michal, as he was waiting until the subclasses and species in both Reavers and The Great Labors were finalized. Once that’s complete, he’ll move on 18+ edition artwork. While that may sound like a lot, these pieces should move much more quickly than the books themselves.
At this point, everything is coming together. Barring any unexpected issues, we expect things to wrap up within the next couple of weeks.
